Pride comes before the fall

Humility is important aspect not as a Christian but also useful when your an expat. You leave your home country with traditions and ways of doing things that your host country may not follow, as each place I have visited is unique in this aspect I have visited. It's important to keep an open mind, not too quick to jump all over people who do things different or even think different than you.

This humility helps you keep a good perspective and appreciate the journey. So many times I have struggled with the way things are sometimes where I live from every day life at home to work. I would get so stressed out when people weren't the way I thought they should be. After a few times around that mountain I started to see God's perspective. I may be just as backwards to them and my attitude or actions may reflect poorly on their opinion of my country or even of God. As his representative we are to remain humble. Humility is not weakness however to let everyone walk all over you but power under control. I am learning  the art of surrender.  All my pride, hopes, dreams funneled through my God who knows my beginning from the end. It takes a humble man to submit to God even when things don't make sense.

Pathways to maturity.
